All of the compa\u00f1erxs were asked what we wanted to work on and when Chloe introduced us to her summer work on codifying the database I felt that working on that made the most sense. However, as the semester progressed and Chloe and I were working on the GAM entry on the Library page and there was a mention of the blog I knew that I wanted to bring the blog \u201cback\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019d only worked on the old blog once or twice during the two years we had used it but in the time since we had often discussed putting up more content, but that\u2019s as far as we ever got.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In working on bringing the blog back I noticed that the old site didn\u2019t feel inviting, instead it felt rather clinical. I debated whether I wanted to continue using the old Jekyll site but after browsing around and being confused I decided to move towards a WordPress site. I copied all of the old material onto a Google Doc, one for the posts in English and another for the Spanish versions, and started designing the site itself. I reposted the old material, linked the GAM\u2019s social media platforms, and started gathering material that we\u2019d all said we would write in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">While the blog isn\u2019t anything super fancy, it feels like an upgrade. I feel like it\u2019s easy to navigate and finally has more than six posts. In the next semester I hope that we will keep writing more updates about the work from the compa\u00f1erxs as well as from the GAM. Additionally, I\u2019d hope that once I graduate someone else will continue this work but we\u2019ll have to wait and see.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When the semester started I knew that it would be my last year working on the GAM project through Haverford.
